Why I Love My Job

There are many reasons, but my favorite is that we’re committed to helping make our clients’ lives better. I get to interact with every HH associate on a regular basis, and I get to take their feedback and turn it into tangible changes within the firm that impact both them and our clients for the better. Our firm is constantly evolving. I love seeing associates grow and develop their skillsets— and to share in their success. It’s a great feeling!

Cecilia T. Williams Family

As Chief Operating Officer, Cecilia manages the day-to-day operations of the firm. Her role requires a deep understanding of clients’ needs as well as HH’s internal operations. Some of her responsibilities include recruiting and managing the firm’s wealth advisor and operations teams—specifically, fostering an environment of exemplary client service.

Cecilia was named to Halbert Hargrove’s management team in 2012 and was named to her current position in 2021. She says she values “working in an environment that’s constantly evolving—at HH we’re always striving to make ourselves better—which means new challenges every day, and opportunities to improve yourself and expand your role.” In 2015, Cecilia created and implemented HH’s Mentoring program, which pairs employees with seasoned Directors, who support them in attaining their personal and professional goals. She joined HH as an operations specialist in 2006.

Cecilia earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration – Finance/Real Estate/Law cum laude from California State University at Long Beach in 2006 and her MBA from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in 2013. She was awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ designation by the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Outside of her role at HH, Cecilia previously served on the Board of Element Education, a non-profit that oversees publicly funded charter schools serving over 1,200 students throughout San Diego County.  Cecilia’s favorite way to recharge is travelling with her son and husband.  Fortuitously, their favorite spot is 10 minutes away from home, South Carlsbad State Beach Campground. The good food, weather, and unbelievable sunsets can’t be beat!

Fun Fact

I’m deathly afraid of heights, but I never pass up on a challenge. Urged by fellow associates Tyler Gilley and Tim Kohler, we bungee jumped off the Bridge to Nowhere in the San Gabriel Mountains. It was eye opening, exhilarating & fun, but I will never do it again!
