Why I Love My Job
Simply because I am in a role where I can make a lasting impact on our clients’ lives. Seeing how our planning and advice gives our clients peace of mind is my core motivation around everything I do here.
Joshua describes his role as Associate Wealth Advisor in this way: “My objective is to meet and exceed our clients’ expectations through in-depth financial planning. Being meticulous about every last detail helps inform each client’s financial plan as completely and accurately as possible.”
He joined Halbert Hargrove’s Scottsdale office in 2022 – during a period when the financial markets were experiencing heightened volatility. Having a sound financial plan, he affirms, enables clients to see how their money is working for them in the long run. “This can ease worries even in the most difficult of markets.”
Prior to HH, Joshua was Senior/Lead Transition Specialist with Robert W. Baird & Co’s Scottsdale office for five years. He led a team that facilitated transitions of financial advisors’ books of business to Baird. This included assisting in the onboarding process for clients, and training the advisors on Baird’s products and services. Before that, he was based in the company’s Milwaukee office from 2015 to 2017 as an information technology specialist, providing software and hardware support and a range of technical solutions for clients.
Joshua earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology Management from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2014. His studies included a two-year internship with the software development company JDA Software. He is a Certified Financial Planner® professional, was awarded the ACCREDITED INVESTMENT FIDUCIARY™ designation by the University of Pittsburgh-affiliated Center for Fiduciary Studies and he is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional.
After a long work day, when not hanging out with his French Bulldog Eugene Theodore, you’ll often find Joshua running, hiking, or in the gym. Fitness is a big part of Joshua’s life – he competed at a national level in weightlifting throughout his childhood and has also served as a kids’ USA Weightlifting (USAW) Level 2 Coach. Joshua’s current community relationships include FPA of Greater Phoenix, Junior Achievement of Arizona, and USAW.
