Why I Love My Job
Relationships that span decades are rare in this day and age. We often manage accounts for multiple generations of a family, and I appreciate the opportunities I have to work with families as well as individual clients.
Stephen joined us as an Associate Wealth Advisor in 2024. Based in our Long Beach office, his overarching focus “is on helping clients continue to meet their financial goals – ensuring that their experience of the entire process is supportive and positive.”
He values working alongside his colleagues as a part of a collaborative team, with responsibilities that range from responding to clients’ questions and concerns about their finances, to preparing proprietary HH reviews, analytics, and other presentations for clients, to creating, delivering, and monitoring their financial plans.
Stephen’s career in finance, business development, and relationship management spans several decades. Most recently, as a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual in Los Angeles, he engaged with clients in comprehensive financial planning. Before that, Stephen worked in real estate investing. As Founder of Beachwood Property LLC, he raised equity financing, acquired properties in prime LA neighborhoods, and consulted with prospective investors.
Prior to that time, Stephen served as Senior Director – Partnerships with Goldstar Events, Inc., where he sourced, built, and negotiated distribution partnerships and managed supplier relationships for this leading live event ticket distributor.
Stephen holds an MBA in Marketing from University of California at Los Angeles Anderson School of Management, and an MA in Telecommunications Policy from The George Washington University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics through The University of Texas at Austin’s Plan II Honors Liberal Arts program.
Every Friday afternoon, you’ll find Stephen volunteering in the soup kitchen his church operates in Los Angeles’ Mid City neighborhood. He also prizes spending time with his adult son Jordan and hiking on the trails surrounding LA with his black lab companion, Nix.
Fun Fact
I grew up in New Orleans and get back there often. People always ask me why I don’t have the Cajun accent they heard in a movie or TV show – buy me a drink or two and I’ll see what I can do!
